Helping Schools Cultivate Connection, Belonging, and Healthy Human Development

Schools are more than places of learning. They are communities where young people discover who they are. I partner with schools to create experiences, programs, and cultures that support the growth of the whole human being.

Healthy school communities are built through healthy relationships. When students, educators, and families all experience a greater sense of connection and belonging, learning becomes more meaningful and communities become more resilient.

Supporting Schools in a Time of Rapid Change

Today's schools are navigating far more than academics. Educators are being asked to support students' social and emotional wellbeing, foster meaningful relationships, strengthen school culture, and prepare young people for an increasingly complex world.

At the same time, many schools are experiencing challenges such as increased anxiety, social disconnection, difficulties with belonging, and the developmental needs of students who are growing up in a rapidly changing culture.

These challenges also create an opportunity.

When schools intentionally cultivate connection, healthy relationships, and meaningful experiences of growth, they become places where students, educators, and families can truly thrive.

My work is grounded in the belief that learning happens best within strong relationships and vibrant communities. I partner with schools to create developmentally appropriate, relationship-centered experiences that strengthen belonging, support healthy adolescent development, and deepen the connections between students, educators, and families.

A Developmental Approach

My work is informed by more than fifteen years supporting young people through wilderness education, youth development, restorative practices, and family systems. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, I work collaboratively with schools to design experiences that meet students where they are developmentally while strengthening the culture of the entire school community.

Current Focus: Waldorf Education

I am currently partnering with Waldorf schools to develop mentorship programs, rites of passage experiences, and relational practices that support healthy adolescent development and strengthen school community.

Areas of Partnership

Every school has its own culture, strengths, and aspirations. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all program, I partner with schools to design experiences that meet the unique needs of their students, educators, and families.

  • Building stronger school-home partnerships

Program Design & School Culture

Every school has its own vision. I collaborate with administrators and faculty to design programs that strengthen community while honoring the school's unique values and educational philosophy.

This may include:

  • After-school enrichment programs

  • Mentorship initiatives

  • Seasonal and community gatherings

  • Student leadership opportunities

  • School-wide community-building experiences

  • Consulting on developmental programming

A Relationship-Centered Approach

I believe schools are living communities. The health of a school is shaped not only by curriculum and programs, but by the quality of relationships between students, educators, families, and the wider community.

My work is grounded in more than 15 years of experience supporting young people and communities through wilderness education, youth development, restorative practices, and experiential learning.

Throughout this work, I have witnessed that meaningful growth happens when people feel seen, supported, challenged, and connected.

I partner with schools by listening deeply, understanding their unique culture and needs, and co-creating experiences that strengthen belonging, support healthy development, and help communities thrive.
